FAQs and Draw rules

Draw eligibility

The Draw is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding residents of the province of Quebec, who are at least 17 years old, with parent/guardian consent if applicable.

Draw period and key dates

The Draw period is from January 1 to March 31, 2026. The Draw closes March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

Completed Give and Get Away Parental/Guardian Consent Form must be sent to prize@blood.ca by April 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET, if applicable.

Prize details and value

Prize allocation

One (1) winner will be randomly selected on the Draw Date from all eligible Entries. The selected Entrant will be contacted by Canadian Blood Services using the information provided on their Draw Entry form by April 15, 2026.

If Canadian Blood Services does not receive a response from the selected Entrant within seven (7) business days of notification, the Prize will be forfeited, and another eligible Entry will be selected by way of random draw from all remaining eligible Entries.

How will the Winner claim the Prize?

Once a selected Entrant is confirmed as the winner, Canadian Blood Services will provide the Winner with instructions for claiming the Prize directly from the Air Canada Foundation.

How many times can I enter the Draw?

Individuals may earn one (1) Entry per booked and attended Blood, Plasma, or Platelet appointment, up to a maximum of thirteen (13) Blood, Plasma or Platelet Entries, depending on their eligibility to book and attend donation appointments during the Draw period. In addition, individuals may earn one (1) Entry for joining the Canadian Blood Services’ Stem Cell Registry depending on their eligibility to join the Stem Cell Registry. (“Eligible Activities”) Maximum fourteen (14) Entries per individual across all Eligible Activities.

What are the Prize Conditions?

  1. Prize must be accepted as awarded, is non-transferable and may not be substituted, exchanged, or redeemed for cash.
  2. If the winner elects to travel without a guest and does not utilize the second ticket included in the Prize, the unused ticket shall be forfeited in its entirety. No substitute prize or other compensation will be provided for any unused portion under any circumstances.
  3. Travel must occur between April 30th, 2026 and April 30th, 2027.
  4. Additional restrictions and blackout dates may apply as solely determined by the Air Canada Foundation.
  5. Tickets are only valid on Air Canada operated flights (including, flights operated under the Air Canada Express banner and operated by Air Canada Rouge).
  6. The Prize winner and their guest are solely responsible for:
    1. ensuring they meet all travel and entry requirements for their selected destination.
    2. Any and all costs, expenses and taxes not expressly described above as included in the Prize, including, without limitation, ground transportation, gratuities, merchandise, baggage charges, personal expenses of any nature for overnight layovers, meals and beverages, travel and medical insurance, service charges, and in-flight meals and entertainment.

What are the Odds of Winning?

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received by the end of the Draw Period.
