FAQs and Draw rules

What if I’m under the age of majority?

Do I need to donate?

You must book a donation appointment and/or join the stem cell registry, but a successful donation or buccal (cheek) swab is not required.

For example, if you show up for your appointment and it is determined  that you are not eligible to donate that day for any reason (ex. you have low hemoglobin, you got a new tattoo less than 3 months ago, etc.) are still eligible to enter the draw if you meet all other Draw eligibility requirements.

Experience what you get when you give

“For me, I get so much from donating blood. It’s an instant way to shift that mindset. I walk in here with a purpose and when I’ve accomplished that I walk out with my head a little bit higher.”

– Julie, blood donor
